    Responsibilities:

    • Work with internal and external maintenance personnel to repair, test, adjust, and maintain all plant equipment (refrigeration systems, pumps, ventilation, conveyors, water treatment, etc)
    • Ensure all work being performed is monitored to optimize cost effectiveness
    • Direct preventative maintenance and safety inspection program for all equipment, continuously develop and improve safety standards
    • Maintain records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility
    • Monitor and control supplies, order supplies and tools as necessary, prepare documents for equipment purchases
    • Prioritize and assign work as required
    • Model a winning attitude towards teamwork, productivity and safety

    Qualifications:

    • Refrigeration A or B license OR Millwright Certification required
    • Working experience in electrical, mechanical (pumps, compressors, conveyors, etc.), hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
    • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, food processing preferred
    • 1-3 years experience in a leadership role preferred

    Job Description:

    With full training provided, the night shift Chicken Catchers’ roles is to work as a team to guide chickens into a loading area, and load chickens into crates. Premier offers a shuttle service for this role. The company will organize close proximity driving routes and pick up and drop off employees to their homes at the expense of the company. Positions are permanent, non-seasonal, full time employment. Salary is $14.85/ hour for 40 hours / week. Work schedule will vary.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Help with equipment setup
    • Guide chickens into loading area in humane manner
    • Loading of poultry into holding crates on to transport truck
    • Work as a team to handle chickens without startling or angering birds

    Food production workers operate in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.  They are responsible for the production and packaging of the poultry before it is released to the shipping department.  Members of this team will work in areas such as the evisceration room, salt room, cut and pack, tray pack and box assembly.  This team has direct impact on the efficiency of our operation and contributes daily to the quality of our products.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high food safety and health and safety  standards
    • Perform tasks to clean and eviscerate (remove the organs of) recently-slaughtered chickens to prepare for secondary and further processing.
    • Season poultry with salt

    The Truck and Trailer Mechanic will be responsible to service, repair, overhaul, diagnose and inspect truck-trailers and their various related systems and components. Our equipment includes 2006 to 2015 Kenworth, Mac and Peterbilt trucks, and flat-bed and reefer trailers.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • 5+ year experience working in a similar role, on similar equipment
    • Must have Welding and Fabricating experience
    • Welding ticket considered an asset
    • Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools)
    • Must have own tools
